Want to Join a Committee? Contact our Committee chairs below for meeting schedules and other information.
Advocacy and Policy Committee The Policy Committee of BCFF will support the vision and BCFF by reviewing, developing, and promoting policies that support BCFF's goals. These policies may be related to local, state, and federal government legislative and regulatory action or may be voluntary. Voluntary policies are those policies adopted by choice by organizations and institutions in the public and private sectors.
BCFF seeks to advance the concept of healthy living from a shared goal to a broad-scale movement. The Policy Committee can accelerate the development of this movement by linking policy activities across organizational, local, state, and federal boundaries. For example, the Policy Committee works closely with the BCFF-supported Massachusetts Food Policy Alliance to advance statewide initiatives. Currently the two primary focus of the Committee are advancing policies to enhance school food and Boston urban agriculture.
